The upcoming ITMA ASIA + CITME 2018 will be held from 15 to 19 October 2018 at the new National Exhibition and Convention Centre (NECC) in Shanghai. For the following articles, we will bring you into Texpro Dyeing & Finishing, top-notch solution for dyehouse.

First, let’s take a brief of chemical fibers. chemical fibers are kind of fibers made by humans with petrochemicals synthesis. Common chemical fibers applied in textile industry include nylon, polyester, acrylic, rayon, etc. chemical fibers can often be produced very cheaply and in large amounts compared to natural fibers. The price of natural fibers can fluctuate by harvest and also leads to agricultural politics, even though, cotton & natural fibers fabric can give some benefits, such as comfort, over their synthetic counterparts.

Chemical fiber may have been twisted to give strength to the yarn. There are basically two types of fibers that are used to make yarn; namely, filament. The fiber that are a continuous object, and that they can work themselves as yarn are called filament fibers. Spun yarn may be made up of a single type of fiber or it may be made twisting different fibers together.

Secondly, the overview of chemical fibers, also known as synthetic, in China market. Nowadays, advancements in research and development of green bio fibers and green chemical fibers are further boosting the growth of China market of chemical fibers. A highly demand for low fuel consuming and low carbon emitting process of chemical fibers is expected to further surge in China.

The developed end-use industries of the south coast of China are the major driving factor for the growth of chemical fibers market.Industrialization has further propelled the textile industry in the north coast of China, which is a major factor driving the growth of chemical fibers market.

The demand for chemical fibers is expected to grow throughout the globe, owing to the increased demand for safe, lightweight, and high strength materials in aerospace, automobile, and textile industries. Asia Pacific holds a major share in the global chemical fibers market owing to extensive usage of the product in textiles, carpets, home furnishing & decor, and industrial fabrics.

Increasing industrial and construction activities in Latin America due to availability of cost effective labor, and abundance of raw materials will result in huge growth opportunities in this region.

Europe and North America is said to exhibit growth at a slower pace. The carpets & rugs segment will experience a potential market in these regions owing to the cold climatic conditions in various parts.

Example and application of chemical fibers:

●  polyester is the major products involved in the manufacturing of chemical fibers which are used for industrial purposes and to produce textiles. Based on application, apparels, home textiles, non-woven fabrics, fiberfill, and others are the major segments of polyester fiber market, where, the others segment includes industrial fabric, etc.

●  Nylon refers to a family of polymers consisting of polymeric amides that form chemical fiber with long chain chemical structure. Nylon is more popular as fiber used in manufacture of carpets and stockings. Also, Nylon is widely used as plastic for making machine parts.

●  Acrylic fiber, commonly used for manufacturing apparels, outdoor furniture, boat covers, awnings, carpets etc., is a chemical fiber manufactured in various forms including acrylic staple, tow, and filament. Acrylic fibers possess good aesthetic properties owing to their capability to accept multi-color dyes in clear, bright and muted tones.

●  Vinyl fiber offers a versatile craft material. Types of vinyl fiber include clear vinyl such as is used for raincoats; flannel-backed vinyl, often used for outdoor tablecloths; and other vinyl-coated fibers available in many colors and weights. A faux alligator purse, patent-leather-look costumes or doll clothes, boat curtains, book covers, and an applique can all be made with vinyl fabric.

●  Polypropylene fiber is formed by about 85% propylene. Propylene is a bi-product of petroleum. It is cheap in price than polyester. It is not decomposed by water for this reason it is used as the rope of ship. Its moisture regain is too much less which is negligible to count.
